Examinations, instruments and the clinical framing of obedience.

Medical play takes its tone from the clinic rather than the dungeon. The dominant is a doctor or a nurse, the submissive is a patient, and the scene is an examination: being positioned, being told to relax, being inspected and discussed as though they were not in the room. The instruments do a lot of the work — a speculum, a thermometer, a catheter, a sounding rod — and the cold, procedural delivery is what makes the scenario land.

There is a wide range of intensity inside that frame. Some clips stay close to a straightforward examination and get their charge from the matter-of-fact handling and the running commentary. Others use the same setup as a pretext for sounding, catheterisation or enema scenes, which is where the category meets the more invasive end of the catalogue.
