Punishment clips are about correction rather than sensation for its own sake. A rule has been broken — a count was missed, a posture slipped, an instruction was answered slowly — and the scene is the consequence. That framing is what separates this category from straightforward impact play: there is an offence, a sentence, and an acknowledgement at the end.

The implements vary more than the structure does. Canes and whips produce thin, sharp lines and tend to be used in careful, counted strokes. Paddles, belts and hands are used in longer runs where the reaction matters more than the precision. Many dominants make the submissive count aloud, thank them for each stroke, or hold a position between them, and those rituals are often the most interesting part of the clip.
